Siberian Tiger
Beautiful but higly endangered
The Siberian tiger lives in coniferous forests i Asia, called taiga. The Siberian tiger is one of the world's most seriously endangered creatures. There are only about 200 individuals in the wild and almost 700 in safari parks and zoos worldwide. Considerable effort is being made to conserve the species. There are five species of tiger in all. Their natural habitat ranges from Siberia to Indonesia, and the different species have different sizes and markings. Tigers living in cold habitats to the north are biggest and have the thickest coats.
