29–30/8 – The Forgotten Cactus Story
Join us for a cactus-themed weekend when Orangeriet sets the scene for two days of talks, exhibitions, experts, and cactus sales.
Meet botanical and cultural history experts, learn more about the fascinating history of the cactus, and get tips on how to grow and care for it.
A special focus of the weekend is Knuthenborg’s own, almost forgotten history as a cactus nursery. Through stories and expert knowledge, we delve into the significant role cacti once played at Knuthenborg.
The event is created in collaboration between the Nordic Cactus Society, Museum Lolland-Falster and Knuthenborg Safaripark.
Both days from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
The activities take place in and around Orangeriet and are included in the regular admission to Knuthenborg Safaripark.
Experience animal feeding up close
Join our skilled keepers as they feed the park’s many animals. Along the way, you’ll learn fascinating facts about the animals’ lives at Knuthenborg.

Autumn is illuminated with After Dark
Autumn evenings in Knuthenborg are not quite like other evenings. At After Dark, cozy autumn vibes, adventure, and a little bit of spookiness come together for the whole family. Lights guide the way through the forests, and along the route special experiences appear that can only be found After Dark.
After Dark can be experienced on selected evenings in October.
Christmas at Knuthenborg
When winter settles over Lolland, we open for the first time in many years the gates to Christmas in Knuthenborg – an atmospheric Christmas experience in Knuthenborg Safaripark for the whole family.
In Limpopoland the Christmas spirit is gathered with fir trees, lights, warm flavors and cozy activities for both children and adults. Here you can enjoy mulled wine and warm Christmas-inspired dishes by the crackling fire pits, while the rest of the park lies wintry and calm with animal experiences, the open Elephant House and the Evolution Museum.
